Three services. Fixed fees. Written outcomes.

Each Slatebrook service is scoped narrowly and priced clearly. You know what you are commissioning, what it costs and what you will receive before any work begins.

Our methodology

How we approach each engagement

Slatebrook's services share a common structure, regardless of which engagement you commission. Before work begins, we agree in writing on the scope, the materials you will need to provide, the timeline and the fee. Nothing changes without your approval.

We work from materials you already have — existing operations notes, financial data, brand guidelines, lease summaries — rather than asking you to produce documents in advance. Our assessment reflects the actual state of your business, not an idealised version of it.

All deliverables go through a draft stage before final delivery. This gives you the opportunity to flag any misunderstandings or request clarification on specific sections before the document is finalised.

Intake conversation

Brief call to confirm scope and fit before any fee is charged or work begins.

Materials collection

We collect existing documents from your side — no preparation needed beforehand.

Structured analysis

Review and analysis conducted against defined criteria relevant to franchise readiness.

Written delivery + follow-up

Draft for review, then final document delivered with a follow-up call included.

Service 01 · Three-week review

Franchise Readiness Review

A structured three-week review for owner-operators of a single-location B2C business who are thinking carefully about whether to open their format to franchisees. The output is a written readiness assessment covering the strength of your operational documentation, brand assets and unit economics, along with a clear list of areas that typically need attention before formal franchise discussions begin.

The review does not assume you will proceed with franchising — it provides the information needed to make that decision well. If the picture is unfavourable, the report says so directly.

  • Operational documentation assessment — completeness, clarity and transferability
  • Brand asset review — portability and consistency across potential sites
  • Unit economics examination — whether the numbers support a franchisee's draw
  • Prioritised list of areas requiring attention before franchise discussions
  • Draft review stage and follow-up call included

Operations Manual Outline
Service 02 · Four-week assignment

Operations Manual Outline

A four-week assignment producing the structural outline of an operations manual for a small franchise system. The output includes chapter structure, the topics that typically belong in each chapter and a suggested depth of treatment for each section. It is designed as a starting framework for your in-house team to fill in over time — not a finished manual, but a well-considered structure that ensures nothing important is missed.

Many businesses that are ready to franchise in other respects lack this foundational document structure. The outline provides it in a form that is immediately usable by whoever will be writing the full manual.

  • Full chapter-level structure appropriate to the business type
  • Topic list for each chapter with brief scope notes
  • Suggested depth and format for each section
  • Guidance notes on which sections are most critical to get right early
  • Delivered in editable format for your team to populate

Standards that apply to every engagement

Confidential handling (PDPA)

All client materials are handled in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act and are not shared outside the engagement or retained beyond its completion.

Scope agreed in writing

Every engagement begins with a written scope confirmation. No expansion or additional billing without explicit prior agreement.

Named consultant throughout

The consultant assigned at the start of your engagement works the file through to delivery. No transfers, no rotation.

Draft review for project work

Both project-based services include a draft stage. The final document reflects your feedback, not just the consultant's initial read.

Timeline respected

Delivery dates are agreed at the outset and held. If something on our side causes a delay, we flag it immediately and do not invoice for additional time spent.

Singapore Franchise Association familiarity

Our work is conducted with reference to Singapore Franchise Association frameworks and the local regulatory context relevant to franchise development.
